Junior Brathwaite shot and killed

An original Wailer, Junior Brathwaite also known as Junior Wailers was gunned down Wednsday (June 2) night in a Kingston home by three armed men. He was 47.

Sources say the target of the gunmen was Lawrence Scott, 49, also was shot and killed, and that Braithwaite was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Braithwaite left the Wailers in the mid-1960s. He recently returned to his homeland Jamaica from Chicago, where he had lived for more than 20 years, and he had been attempting to revive the singing career.
