Rita calls for honours for Bob

Rita Marley petitioned the government to give additional honours for the late Bob Marley on a party to mark Bob's 55th birthday at 56 Hope Road on February 6. Bob Marley was awarded the Order of Merit, Jamaica's third highest honour, after he died.

In Jamaica, recently, there is a growing movement of public opinion for Bob Marley to be elevated to the pantheon of National Heroes, Jamaica's highest honour.
