Beenie Man cleared of ganja charge

Beenie Man was cleared of illegal ganja possession charge when he and three of his entourage appeared before a judge in Virginia in the US on March 28.

Beenie Man and three members of his entourage, Ralston McKenzie, Raymond Ledgister, and Andrew Thomas, were charged last July in Virginia Beach, Virginia, after police seized a small quantity of ganja.

The Judge concluded that a ganja cigarette, seeds and stems collected from the floor and garbage cans in hotel rooms used by the band could not be linked to any of the defendants.

Attorneys for the defendants say after a six-hour search of the bus and hotel rooms, the police found only 67 grams of ganja and some residue.
