Winston Grennan needs help from fans

Contributed by Sharon Jewel

Winston Grennan, veteran reggae drummer and innovator, is seriously ill with cancer.

Grennan, whose playing graces innumerable reggae classics by singers like Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, and Toots Hibbert, feels he can be cured by a course of treatment that avoids chemo and radiation - but its cost is presently prohibitive, and he is asking for help from the fans who have seen and heard him over the past 37 years of his career.

A medical fund has been established at the Nantucket Bank and donations may be sent to: Winston Grennan Medical Fund, P.O. Box 3094, Nantucket, MA 02584.
