You will find the name; SISTER KAYA in quite a lineup of the performers on the poster for The 20th Bob Marley Day Celebration, which is going to be held in San Diego February 19th, 2001.
The start of this project was the death of Bob Marley while the sponsors were preparing for the project of his concert 20 years ago. Then, a tribute concert, inviting Stevie Wonder was held on mourn over the death of Bob Marley. Since then, it is held as annually and became a big festival. More than 10 bands participate in the festival every year, and it is going to be something special this time because of it's 20th Anniversary. Makeda Dread, promoter/director of WorldBeat Center, DJ of the program at FM 91X "Reggae Makocca", is deeply impressed with Sister Kaya's work and her passion for reggae music, and she invited her to the festival. This festival is going to be held not only in San Diego but also in Long beach in Los angels and San Francisco. This tour is sponsored by Ragga Muffins Productions and WorldBeat Center.
