日本語を書けない環境らしく英語なのですが、ぜひ読んでください。
I am so sorry. I would love to write this in japanese but i am not at work and i have no access to japanese typing although i can read it.
I really, really appreciate it that you concern about the situation. I actually work in Manhattan on 40th and park ave (right in front of grand central)...since the office is on the 41st floor and from my window, I have the perfect view of the twin tower.
In my eyes, I saw the building burning and goes down. I did not see the plane goes through the plane but i saw all the building collapse from where I was. Then there was an evacuation. No public transportation was moving so I had to walk over the bridge (with my 4 inch heel). Then once i got to Queens, i had to hitchhike twice, then take train and bus to get to my house...it took 5 hours to get home. However, I am one of those who were fortunate just to be alive and at home right now typing this letter.
We (people who live in NY) all knew something like this would happen some day. However, they chose 9-1-1(the emergency number for the united states...the day was 9/11, also the day of primary election in new york city for the mayor). Whoever did this only has one thing in mind...that is a hatrid and twisted love to their religion.
I am still looking for one friend who is working in the Wall Street area. Fortunately no one that I know was hurt and he is the only one who is missing, but i am hoping I will get in touch with him soon. However, we estimate that thousands of people died by this. (might be more than 10,000 people)
I really wanted to thank you, and at the same time, whoever can read/listen to me, please remember that you will never know what will happen tomorrow, so please live your life fully, and let your love one know that you love them. Also, please stop fighting in any form...small fight and ignorance often can cause something like this. If we can be little more kind to each other and try to understand other people, it could have been prevented, and it can be said to everything, whether it is "dengonban" or "labalaba".
I really want everyone to imagine, seeing the building collapse in ront of your eyes, knowing thousands of people are trapped there, and had to evacuate and seeing thousands and thousands of people evacuate from manhattan...because of some ignorance act. The fight does not resolve anything, education/teaching each other and broaden the horizon can solve everything.
One Love
